Pretty in Pink First Birthday: Late post

All pink everything!

 The Birthday Girl !

 Pi├▒ata!

"Wow this is all for me!"

We had such a blast being able to celebrate our first born's first birthday in California with all of our family and friends. It can be a little stressful planning a party 3,000 miles away from where it is located;we had a few bumps in the road, but the turnout was SO worth it. To everyone who came we would like to thank you, it truly means the world to have such caring and wonderful people involved in not only our lives but our daughter's life as well. We love you all!

Photo Cred to our family friend Derek Smith thank you for always having a camera on hand!

Married at 18!? : I hate that question...

I get that cringe from people way too often when I state the fact that I was married at the age of 18 and my husband 20. I just want to clarify right now (just incase you aren't good with math) I wasn't pregnant with my daughter when we got married. Yes, we got married in Vegas and no, we did NOT elope. There was no secret behind it. It was very simple, we were madly in love with each other then and are madly in love with each other now. People felt free to share their opinion and their opinion affected us just about as much as our decision affected their lives..it had no effect at all.

We recently passed our 2 year wedding anniversary and I am even more in love than I was on our wedding date. Since then we have moved 3,000 miles away from our families, I gave birth to our first born, we have a fully furnished place, we bought a car (and a motorcycle) and we've experienced a whole new lifestyle here in Florida. That’s A LOT!

So much has changed from that first date where we sat and ate ice cream and laughed without a care in the world. We still share many many laughs with each other;( I'm not here to put our relationship on a pedestal even though it is pretty frickin awesome), but we also have our share of struggles every once in a while; which isn't a bad thing, we're emotionally connected. Learning to open up and share your honest emotions with somebody is scary especially when you’ve never been good at it before. We've had our ups and downs but what truly matters is our ability to power through our struggles and come out of them stronger than before. Everyday people change, whether it’s small changes; like their favorite color or big changes, but if you don’t bother to stay connected you're going to eventually grow apart. Being married is a wondrous journey and part of that journey is learning how to stay together.

People ask me all the time if I regret getting married so young and I jokingly answer “My god, Yes! It is horrible” but my true answer is No. No I don't for one second wish I was living any other way, in fact I can't even bare that thought anymore, I am exactly where I am meant to be. If anything we are lucky, lucky that we found each other so early on in our lives. I am happy and more in love than I ever have been before.

Okay, I am sounding a bit sappy now so I guess I will just end by asking you guys a few questions; what are your thoughts on marriage and age? Do you believe in love at first sight? How long have you and your significant other been together?

Beauty Schooled Glam Bag : An Ipsy Review

So I recently became an “Ipster” , I subscribed to Ipsy late May and since then I have received 3 glam bags. So far I am happy with signing up; it’s $10.00 every month for a cute bag and some make up goodies bo. th travel and full size, not to mention they have great discounts on their site. This month’s bag I calculated to have cost a total of $35.00 not including the cute new makeup bag that came with it.

My glam bag titled “Beauty Schooled” this month came with

1.  Dr. Brandt Pores No More .25 fl oz . This product isn’t my favorite pore refiner but it is in my top picks. I will more than likely be buying this product again. It did not leave my skin oily and worked well with my foundation.

2. Travel size Urban Decay Perversion Mascara .I was actually skeptical about trying this mascara but it turns out that I actually love it! It really expanded my lashes and they STAYED expanded usually within a few minutes they fall down ( they lose their volume) but not this mascara I like that it didn’t smear and only took 3 coats to get it exactly how I like my lashes . Usually I get clumps but this brush worked well. This is now one of my favorite mascaras ,thank you Ipsy!

3. Full size J. Cat Flying Solo Eye Shadow in the shade Half Naked. Just by the looks of this shadow I probably wouldn’t have bought it because cheaper eye shadows have a reputation of not having much pigment and are basically just a disaster to wear but this full size product suprised me. This shadow is full of pigmentation, it is long lasting and the fact that it come with a hidden applicator and mirror makes it the perfect on the go product.

4. Full Size Jersey Shore Sun .  With the hot summer sun and dry air this lip balm couldn’t have arrived at a better time . Although I am not a big fan on the Mandarin Green Orange Ginger flavor ( I hate orange tasting anything) I will be willing to try another flavor just because this balm is 100 percent all natural and super moisturizing. If I end up buying this again I will definitely choose their coconut flavor.

5. Travel size KLORANE Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk . OMG. OMG. OMG. I have finally found it, (well actually Ipsy found it for me ) a dry shampoo that doesn’t leave a white cast on your my hair, that ACTUALLY adds volume, and smells flippin’ AHH-MAZE- ING! This is my favorite product of the month. I have gone through so many bottles of dry shampoo and this one makes me so happy. Seeing as it has taken so long to find a dry shampoo that works for me I don’t see myself switching anytime soon.

We were feeling pretty defeated when we weren't able to find a park but I am so happy that we have. We were under the impression that Jacksonville didn't have parks but the one we found just happens to be one of the biggest I have ever seen; it's surrounded with trees and man different places to play different sports. We have also been having some rainy weather keeping us indoors so we try to get creative thinking of things to do and it just so happens my little one loves being in the kitchen with me. I kind of want to start a tradition for when everytime it rains we bake something, but I'm not sure if I can commit to that yet. What do you guys like to do on the rainy days?
